SUMMER FUN

Great entertainment is on the menu across the BID area. The Beer, Jazz, Comedy, and the latest NEW GEN Summer Festivals are back in Walpole Park as well as summer entertainment every weekend @ Ealing Broadway Shopping.Make It Ealing will be creating a Summer Garden installation across the BID area of butterflies, so we are hoping for a big wow factor and lots of social media chatter.

CRIME REPORTING

We urge all businesses to report crime incidents, and the quickest and simplest way if there is no immediate danger to staff is online.

If companies don't report a crime, the local statistics will not support additional police presence on the streets, which we all agree is crucial for the place management of the area.

Ealing police have posted messages on Twitter about what constitutes a 999 call and what should be reported online. There is a non-emergency number, 101, but the wait time for the call to be answered can be as long as 45 minutes.

FREE RECYCLING BAGS

The free allocation of Biffa bags for independent businesses will be delivered directly to the business address within the next two weeks. We no longer issue tape for cardboard collection but have compensated by allocating additional dry mixed recycling bags into which cardboard can be placed for collection.

TRAINING COURSES

Certified First Aid At Work training is back in the classroom to enable businesses to get back on track with H&S compliance.

And finally...

We have had a Year 10 work experience student working in the BID office this week from Ada Lovelace school. I am still determining who has learnt the most, but we have some interesting insights into Tik-Tok and Drop shipping. Entrepreneurs like police officers are getting younger!
