Make It Ealing represented businesses at the Ealing Job Fair on 22 June. We would still like businesses to participate in our business survey here, but while there, we sought the opinions of the job seekers who attended.

What are you looking for today?

Working from home was not a priority or demanded when asked despite the preference for office-based work at this particular job fair. Most people looked to websites or agencies for jobs, not shop windows or social media.

Each time we attend one of these events, we generate a lot of interest in our job board.

There is no cost to BID businesses to advertise jobs. We act as a portal, a gateway to get job opportunities published and linking potential applicants directly back to your company website. Just point us to the information, and we will do the rest. Contact the BID office here.

Make it Ealing has been able to up-cycle some office furniture to create an eight-person plus host capacity training/conference room. We also have a smaller room 4-person desk capacity suitable for interviews, assessments, confidential meetings, and small training groups.

Both rooms have access to TV screens wired for most laptop connections, whiteboards and tea and coffee facilities.

BID levy-paying businesses can use these facilities as often as required for free. All you have to do is speak to the BID office to book your time and dates.

Seeing the Jubilee bunting displayed in so many shop windows was a huge honour for the winning entries. Our thanks go to Pitzhanger, who celebrated the 40 shortlisted entries from Christ The Saviour Schoool by exhibiting all the works in the Manor House library for two weeks.

Our digital placemaking GIFs and Face Filters achieved over 10 million views over the Jubilee festivities, including a whopping 1.3 million views of the bunting

The Make It Ealing colour bunting project will be installed in the next few weeks to celebrate summer and festival fun in the town centre. Look out for colourful ribbon bunting in Oak Rd, Town Square, High Street and possibly Dickens Yard. If the project is well received, we will be extending the locations, project size and deliverables for next year.
