Soane’s Kitchen, run by Social Pantry Founder and CEO, Alex Head, has been cooking up a storm with its themed supper club events, but Switchback members taking over the restaurant for one night grabbed the attention of the London press. Switchback connects with 18-30-year-old prison leavers, to give them hospitality training and unique hands-on experience at top restaurants. Alex Head was happy to get involved with Switchback, explaining that its work sits closely with the ethos of her company. She said: “I was expelled from school twice, so I always think – if I got another chance, then why shouldn’t others?” Alex practices what she preaches as 10% of her workforce are ex-offenders. www.soaneskitchen.co.uk
