NHS Volunteer Responders Needed
NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up by NHS England and Royal Voluntary Service, in partnership with GoodSam, to support the NHS and the care sector during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Once signed up, you can provide support safely to people who are isolating at home. You can help by delivering groceries and medicines, or by offering friendly conversation over the telephone to someone who is on their own.
You can also support our NHS by providing patient transport or by moving supplies and equipment. Once you have registered and checks are complete you will be provided a log-in to the GoodSAM Responder app. Your NHS needs you! Join our team today.
Volunteers must be over 18, and fit and well with no symptoms. Those in higher-risk groups will still be able to offer support over the telephone as a Check In and Chat Volunteer.
You will need to have a smartphone to take part as you will be unable to receive alerts without the app.
Your safety is our priority. The majority of tasks can be undertaken while social distancing and volunteers will receive guidance through our Getting You Started Guides.
