One of our most significant achievements in our current BID term was to bring the scale of shoplifting to the attention of decision-makers. Businesses had become disenchanted with reporting crime, because the “low” value did not elicit an appropriate ‘Law and order” response.

Through My local Bobby Make It Ealing identified offenders, created reports using GDPR-compliant software, and reported all offences to the MET database. As the stats increased due to continuous reporting, attention began to focus on the area’s issues, and we are starting to see a greater police presence. We shared information with the police and joined them on operations to identify prolific offenders. We publish a weekly bullet-point list of the crime stats My Local Bobby has dealt with. The team records every offender they stop, storing the information on the GDPR ShopSafe Alert App.
