Business Growth Officer
The harm that Covid-19 has caused to our local economies and local businesses across London and beyond has been significant., The economic shock and hardship on businesses and residents has been felt more keenly in Ealing. In response, the council and its range of partners have been working extra hard to mitigate the economic harm, predominantly through grant allocations in the tens of millions and setting up new and innovative collaborations. Led by the economic growth service, the council recently launched its greenprint for economic recovery and renewal and we need to get on with its delivery.
This is a key moment for the council and the borough. The decisions we take now about how we recover and renew the borough’s economy will have an impact for decades to come. Reporting to the principle business growth officer, this role will provide critical project support to the business growth and inward investment team, working with its partners in both the public and private sector in delivering the council’s approach to the economic recovery and renewal and help ensure all government grants to businesses are effectively and efficiently delivered.
You will have sound administrative experience, excellent communications skills, and attention to detail, driven by the challenge of working on a range of projects to achieve economic growth and renewal for Ealing’s businesses.
You will be expected to work flexible hours (maximum 35 hours per week). The role will also involve some evening work for stakeholder engagement events and occasional weekends.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
This role is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
