Security Officer Reports to: Security Manager
Location: Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre
Employment Status: Permanent
Salary: £10 per Hour
Hours/Shift Pattern; Flexible
Purpose of the Role:
The primary focus is to be responsible for the monitoring and day-to-day operation of the site access points, performance & standards of associated team & involvement in implementation & continuous reviews of strategy & processes across the service. To assist in managing & overseeing the efficient & effective operation of the site access within the location, maintaining agreed contractual specification standards, Service Level Agreements & Key Performance Indicators. To assist the Duty Controller and Deputy Soft Services Managers to ensure team members are supervised & supported to deliver exceptional operational & customer service standards at all times whilst complying with all Client & Company policies, procedures, relevant regulations & legislation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Authenticating right of access
- Access and egress control
- Dealing with and resolving customer queries to the required customer service standard
- Defect reporting and associated actions and follow-ups
- Spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services
- Secure premises, personnel, customers, and member of the public by patrolling and inspecting premises, equipment, and access point
- Prevent losses and damages by reporting irregularities, informing of any violation of policy and procedure
- Maintains a safe environment by reporting any cleaning issues and assisting by disposing of litter when possible
- Patrol and complete all checks as per work schedules
- Liaise with control room via the radio and give clear and concise feedback
- Use all the equipment and technology to their fullest to prevent and deter crime
- Operating the client and company procedures and processes
- Undertaking the first-line emergency procedures and business continuity plans for the operation & site
- Reporting and associated paperwork & documentation including a detailed incident report
- Knowledge and associated reporting on the contractual agreement, Service Level Agreements
(SLA’s) & ‘Key Performance Indicators’ (KPI’s)
- Attend, represent & actively take part in all required meetings
- To respond to requests & resolve issues within the agreed SLA time frames
- Any other duties requested by line management

It may be amended from time to time to incorporate changing circumstances and you may be required to be flexible and perform other duties as required by your line manager. It does not form part of your contract of employment.
