How to report rough sleepers and beggars who significantly impact your ability to trade and operate.
Please be aware that, unfortunately, we have no legal powers or authority to move people disrupting your business. However, by reporting every incident every day, you create a documented evidence trail that will directly enable the council and police to understand the welfare needs of the people concerned, assist them with their needs, and, more importantly, document the impact on the business, staff, and customers. The documented reports will aid the justification of issuing a banning notice from the front of your business that, if ignored, could lead to prosecution.
Below is a list of the ways you can report to the council and policing partnerships:
MET police – Online | https://www.met.police.uk/ |
MET police – ASB | https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb/report-antisocial-behaviour/ |
Police non-emergency | 101 – neighbourhood disturbances, drugs, or anti-social behaviour |
Police Emergency | 999 – someone in immediate danger or need support right away |
In-person | Acton Police Station, 250 High Street, Acton, W3 9BH (24 hours) |
Ealing Council – Safer communities | 020 8825 5994 or safercommunities@ealing.gov.uk – Ealing Council’s safer communities team work closely with police and other agencies. They can be contacted Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. If you have witnessed ASB affecting another person, you can also report it to us or contact us for any advice and guidance. |
