BUSINESS UPDATE

We welcome three new eateries with very different offers;

SSAL Factory at 45 Haven Green offers premium Korean food for takeaway; they already have great reviews on Google and positive comments on social media.

Fuwa Fuwa on Oak Rd, Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre is a brand-new concept for Ealing and a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Fuwa Fuwa is Japanese for fluffy and perfectly describes their trade mark delicious sweet pancakes that are hard to resist.

Lap Dung Nabe at 21 The Green, a new Asian restaurant agent, is getting great reviews for good service and hot soup.

Make It Ealing Business Survey

Have you filled in the survey yet? The project deliverables will only be maintained if businesses support their value. It is a super easy tick-box exercise that is quick to complete, so please have your say.

2025-26 Billing Leaflet

The Make It Eaking Billing leaflet is now available online with details of the project spend.

Our most significant project is the security support provided by My Local Bobby. We give a brief weekly update of the figures on our messaging app, and now online here. Images and data are stored on a GDPR-compliant Shopsafe Alert App, available for businesses in the BID area to join.

Business Waste Legislation

New Waste legislation is now in operation. At a minimum, every business needs a recycling and general waste contract; there are no exceptions for any business.

You can find out more information here. Every business should have a portal with a waste supplier to order bags, arrange collections and obtain their WTN evidence.

The Make It Ealing allocation of free bags will be distributed by First Mile in late May. Please note that if you are not an existing business on the free allocation list, you must be approved through the BID office.

BUSINESS TOOLKIT

Fines for deliveries outside 10-4 pm

Businesses have made us aware they are getting fines for receiving deliveries outside 10-4 pm. Can you let the BID office know if this policy impacts your business? We have raised concerns with Cabinet Member for Climate Action Paul Driscoll and Cllr Julian Gallant.

Counter Terrorism Update

Counter Terrorism would like to remind businesses that the current threat level is substantial - an attack is likely.

They are offering awareness training either on-site or via Microsoft Teams. A 60-90 minute presentation will enable you to identify suspicious behaviour and items. A more in-depth course lasts 3 hours and is suitable for larger venues and entertainment areas.
